Mort reports on ESPN that Seahawks CEO met with P.C this week and they pretty much came to an agreement on P.C. Getting total control of football operations. If they had not come to the aggreement, Mora would still be coach.

I.e...

The only reason Mora is gone, is because the Hawks are getting Pete for 5 years 35 Million.

I can't believe people are actually complaining about losing Mora and getting Pete Carrol.

JFC are you serious?

Mora didnt own up to shit this year, it was always one thing or another. "Hey, this team is 1 win better than last year when we went 4-11...Injuries really got us. Blah to the fuckin Blah."

Hope the door knocks your ass down on the way out JR, didnt get a fair chance my ass.

18 or whatever, people have different opinions son, deal with it. Ive seen many of your terrible posts and have neglected to comment. We all have different outlooks, i just so happen to be elated this clown has got the boot and hope that knappy headed hoe is soon to follow.

There's word that Paul Allen doesn't want anyone to have full control, which is why he is now going to be the Vice President and Head Coach rather than VP, GM and HC.

I'm wondering if the Allen requests are more to try and get Frazier to interview so they can comply with the Rooney Rules. If Frazier feels there is no way he'll get the job then he may not interview. He currently has feelings that Carroll and Seattle may not work out, but if he feels they will then he won't interview.

SI.com's Jim Trotter reports that Seahawks owner Paul Allen is unwilling to offer head coaching candidate Pete Carroll total control over football matters.

And we have a potential hitch. "Allen has been through that once with Mike Holmgren and is not going to go through that again," said Fritz Pollard Alliance chairman John Wooten, who has knowledge of the situation. It's long been believed that if Carroll was to return to the NFL, he'd want GM duties in addition to the head coaching job. A deal no longer appears to be imminent.

So what will they do now if Carroll doesn't want to come to Seattle? Rehire Mora? Go after Leslie Frazier? Go after Gruden/Cowher or someone else?

I want Gruden the most, but if we get Carroll/Frazier I'll be fine with that.

Leslie Frazier! Leslie Frazier!

Man I really wanna see what he can do for our D. Not too high on Carroll here. I have a college buddy of mine who is way up on him. I personally don't see it, give me Leslie Frazier! :D

Where did I complain about losing Mora? PLEASE find it for me. I was referring to hiring Pete Carroll as the head coach and president.

Tomahawk or whatever, I don't care if you have a different opinion (and frankly what you think of me or my posts means absolutely nothing to me). I just ask that people actually read threads and make coherent arguments. Let me summarize my opinion for you:

1. I am glad Mora is gone. I was no fan of his coaching. But this seems like a shoot from the hip reaction and not a well thought out process. I could be wrong. But if I am not, change for the sake of change rarely works out.
2. I am not excited about Pete Carroll because he seems to have the same coaching style Mora does.
3. If Pete Carroll is the choice, why did we give him all this power when we already took it away from a proven NFL mind (Holmgren)?

I am on the same page as you 18. Why the hell give this guy any more power than HC if we had used the excuse that we want someone to come in and fit in with us not the other way around. We took the power from Holmgren and there is no way Carroll can be compared to Holmgren.

Leslie Frazier is who I really wanted, been hoping for it for a while but never honestly thought my team would look that direction. Now we have and damnit I want him as our HC. I will cross my fingers and hope Leslie Frazier gives a hell of an interview to win over our front office.
