Final 2009 Mock Draft with Analysis
4. Seattle Seahawks-WR Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech**
-I really thought for a while Offensive Tackle would be the pick, but they haven’t brought in any of the top Offensive Tackle prospects, and I have a very hard-time seeing them taking a guy they haven’t even talked to. So, that pretty much leaves Sanchez, Crabtree, and Aaron Curry, but Curry is off the board. They have been rumored to be pretty high on Sanchez, but GM Tim Ruskell reportedly didn’t attend USC’s Pro Day with the majority of the Seahawks front office. Also, it’s been reported now he’s had second thoughts about developing a Quarterback. In the end, this leaves Crabtree, a guy that could make an immediate impact starting opposite of T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Ruskell has also said he believes Matt Hasselbeck is still in his prime, and no better way to help him show that then to give him yet another weapon. If it remains healthy, this offense could be deadly, something Jim Mora Jr. would love.
