The native American Seahawk has far reaching history that goes back hundreds if not thousands of years. The Seattle Seahawks have a traditions that only stretches back to 1976. Our's is the only team mascot that has origins in the region and in the Native American people of the area it plays in.
The Tacoma's natural history museum has a carved Seahawk on display that closely resembles our teams logo and in my opinion our team pays the most respectful homage to the native American people in pro sports.
May the thoughts and memories of all the previous fans that are not here to celebrate this season, be with them tomorrow as they once again attempt to honor all us fans with a win.
