A look at the memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Nov. 17:
1980: The Seahawks roll up 391 yards and take a 17-7 lead, but the Raiders drive to a late 28-yard field goal by Matt Bahr that caps their 12-point fourth quarter in a 19-17 victory at Kingdome.
1985: The Patriots score 13 fourth-quarter points to pull out a 20-13 victory at the Kingdome, but Steve Largent caught eight passes for 138 yards and Curt Warner runs for 105 yards in this odd season that sees the Seahawks systemically win two and then lose two four times en route to an 8-8 record.
1996: The Seahawks lose their quarterback and then the game as former Washington State University kicker Jason Hanson kicks a 43-yard field goal with 4:32 left to play to give the Lions a 17-16 victory at the Silverdome. John Friesz went out in the fourth quarter, and for the rest of the season, with a cracked bone in his leg – one day after signing a contract extension. Lamar Smith runs for 148 yards, but Todd Peterson’s 42-yard field goal attempt sails wide right with two seconds remaining.
