We have a decent line, look at last year. They did a hell of a lot better than 2007.
Hasselbeck is old and injury prone, so of course he wants a line to protect him. Without Womack or Willis we will have to draft somebody, but it's not like we have to use the 4th pick for that.
From what I've heard, Willis is probably going to get over a $10 million signing bonus. The Seahawks can't afford that kind of money.
Weaver wants too much as well, so I guess the Run-Away Beer Truck gets the job.
Right now, I have no clue who they will go after. Housh might be an option, but...
Stamina was the key for him getting that many. A lot of these lineman and linebackers are stronger than he is, but they don't have the stamina he does. So, he was able to do more, but they could probably out bench him if they went up over 300 pounds.
We never said size means everything. We said size as well as average speed would be the best way to go. Anyone can have a good career if everything works out for them. If they constantly have bad Quarterbacks or just never seem to get those lucky holes in the defense for big gains you won't...
I agree. A 6'3"+ guy would be nice. Gibson is listed at 6' and that in a receiver won't do much of anything. Having a tall guy with avg speed is what a lot of teams want. He can get the ball over the majority of corners in the NFL and can run down field and at least keep a good distance from the...
No point in doing that. We will either keep Frye or draft a guy. I believe we got a guy on the practice squad as well that would probably get the 3rd stringer spot if we don't get Frye back.
He's actually 6'0", 210. Can't find his 40 time or anything else.
From what I read on NFL.com, he has short speed, not the long speed. He was the leading receiver in the Pac-10 back in '07. He will probably be an Undrafted Free Agent that the Seahawks take a look at.
I was good friends with Michael Jackson and then, well...you know what happened.
But really, that's cool that he was mentioned on ESPN. It's hard for the Mariners or Seahawks to even get mentioned.
I really don't see why any team would draft someone in the 1st round without the expectation of them playing the position they were drafted for. With our team being run oriented and defensive oriented, we won't be picking up a LT. We need a RB, or some defensive help. A WR would be great later...
Crabtree being hurt really will hurt his stock. Hopefully he drops down to our pick in the 2nd so we can pick him then. I know he had this injury, but he is still a solid guy.
I really don't see a point in signing T.J. also. He will just be a waste of money and he will have to learn the plays...
Even though I love JPs skills, I think you're right. Peterson is making a lot of money next season and if we can trade him away that will allow us to concentrate on other needs. Hawthorne/D.D. can take over that ROLB spot or they can even draft a guy early in the draft.
Or...they could let Hill...
Finally the Mariners are getting some attention. They were talking about it on MLB Network (213 for DirecTV) and they even said the Mariners are in the race for the AL West even more because of Griffey returning, but mainly because of our pitching (Morrow, Hernandez, Bedard, Silva, etc.) and our...
Weaver can't block as good as Schmitt. Weaver has actually said that Schmitt has helped him block better. Schmitt has a lot of potential and I'd rather keep Schmitt instead of having to throw out the big bucks for Weaver.
Griffey is officially back. Damn, he will bring in a lot of fans. The M's were smart do to this from a business perspective. Lots of money will be made off him.
Cows, Pigs, Chickens, Turkeys...man, I love P.E.T.A.
...the Commissioner would be seriously retarded to let Vick back into the NFL. He already screwed up on Adam Jones and hopefully has learned from it.
They probably didn't want to stay up past 10 eastern...wait, that's exactly why they called the race. They need to learn to deal with the weather in a better way, especially with their "Super Bowl" race of the year.
