Conventional wisdom tends to agree with you, but as 18 said "I don't think conventional wisdom holds true when talking about guys like Manning and Luck." When you have a surefire hall of famer, who has played his entire career for your franchise, its hard to let those guys go. I've heard...
Yeah, the hype is ridiculous. He's not an NFL QB, he's still a college QB. They make it seem like you can throw him right into the middle of the playoff hunt right now and he'll do just fine. I think even a QB prospect as good as Luck is will take a season to really start succeeding in NFL...
I vote the new Miami Marlins uniforms.

I'm just assuming the Colts will get that pick. If it looks like Manning will be healthy it would be very smart of the Colts to trade it away. They need to address almost every position on their team, they need as many picks as they can get.

"Hello and welcome to football gameplan where we will breakdown this week's matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Sea-hahaha!Oh man, I can't even pretend like this is going to be close! If you're a Seahawks fan watching this, go play golf or something on...
Eh, that's a lot harder to speculate on... I say go more for BPA than need in the 2nd. Hell, we may not have a 2nd round pick if we trade it to get Luck. (I'm really hoping that happens if you couldn't tell)
This team has not played like a 2-6 football team.
I thought this was a good read:

A pass rusher and a QB are the only glaring needs I see. We could use a CB, we could afford to upgrade at RB, but outside of that we just need to add depth specifically on the O-line and D-line.
It seems unlikely that they would deal Manning. They can get more for the first pick, and if they want a QB they could still be in position to take Jones and groom him under Manning if they traded down.
