Carroll seems pretty convinced the Jets would have taken him, it sounds like the Bears and 49ers also had him rated highly.
Bottomline, Bruce is perfect for the LEO, the off the field stuff appears to be way behind him, he's pretty unanimously regarded as the best pass rusher in this draft...
Wish it was the actual number he was going to wear, but here's Bruce at his press conference today:
And here's the cliche "let's make him look like predator because he has dreads" picture:
Another guy out of Utah State. Big back 5'10" 222lbs, good athlete, had the best broad jump at the Combine 122" ran a 4.5 at the combine and a 4.4 at his pro day
He was in the top 15 on at least seven teams' draftboard. Wasn't a reach unless you talke to Kiper and Mcshay. I trust Carroll and Schneider to evaluate talent a lot more than the draft "experts" out there.
Wagner had a ridiculous combine/pro day... ran a 4.46, benched 225 25 times, 11' broad jump, 39" verticle, 7.09 3 cone drill. I'm still pretty sure Kendryks was tthe guy they wanted, but they were looking to get faster/more athletic in the front seven and they've done that so far. I want to see...
We have more picks today (7) than we had total picks when the draft started (6) and day 3 is where Schneider and Carroll have done their best work. Let's hope there's another Sherman or Chancellor out there.
