Hello, NE defense sucks. Our record would be even better with a taller QB.

But we can win when we face sorry defenses. Think we will ever see a Superbowl with that attitude?

Damn starting to sound like Coherd.
Didn't he get most of his yards against NE on 5 throws? 5 deep chucks and the other 11 or so went for like 60 yards the rest of the game.

Wilson's interviews are weird... Dude a clichè spouting robot, then he adds "go hawks" at the end. Seems unnecessary.
The way he talks irritates the hell out of me! Like a damn politician, always saying the "right" thing. Company man. Why wont he just say NFL? Why is it always the 'National Football League'? We know what it stands for buddy.

"Guys really battled out there. We really competed. Defense, Special teams, running backs, receivers, Oline. Every one competed. We played one of the better teams in the National Football League and just didn't get it done. We need to finish. I need to play better. I need to prepare better. I need to be a better QB in the National Football League...... Go Hawks!"

Their defense had to turn around and get ready on a short week as well. They held us to 6 points. They must have not been as tired.... drank more Gatorade than us maybe.

They just bludgeoned us with the same play over and over, with that pulling guard and DT/FB. Fatigue played a factor, Lynch had a good game too. But, we didn't stick with the run quite like they did.

Work ethic can't over come his height and inability to see short/intermediate routes from inside the pocket.

Unless.... No, wait. It still can't.

Who's saying he's incapable? He's thrown those types of passes just fine, he just doesn't attempt many of them for whatever reason.

Because he CAN'T fucking see. Thats why hes not attempting. Either get a DVR or NFL rewind because its annoying having to tell you the same shit every week. He also throws an ugly short ball when throwing from inside the pocket. The simple out route he threw to Sidney was thrown high because he threw it from inside the pocket. Those should be a low trajectory type of pass with zip on the ball. Not a floating rainbow on a 5 yard route. Rice had to elevate to catch that pass.

I have a DVR, I just don't record the games. I just have a hard time believing that he can't do anything Drew Brees can.

I'm tired of the can't see excuse. It's only partially accurate. What QB is taller than their line? None. Sure the line bends over a bit, but not enough for even a 6'2" QB to see clearly over.

And saying that a taller QB would equal more wins is pretty much lunacy. Put me in. I'm taller than Flynn, too.

Did I say that a taller QB equals more wins? I'm not even bringing up Flynn or any other QB for that matter. I'm evaluating Russell as our starting QB. As a Seahawk fan, am I not allowed to do that? Is he immune to criticism?

I'm watching games. I'm seeing receiver open right in front of him. He's not throwing to them. Instead he is thrown to a guy streaking downfield who is tripple covered. He is doing this at an alarming rate. Why is he doing this? Logically, the first thing that comes to mind is his height.

The team played poorly overall, tough game on a short week .

I'm more pissed off about how the Defense played. The TD we gave up was a simple run off route and we bit on it , overall the 49ers played a very basic offense and we couldn't stop it . I hope the long rest gets some guys healthy and back on track .

As far as Wilson goes only a fool would ever think that were pulling this kid. Welcome to reality, these are the growing pains of a young team.

I read this post and it made me create an account just to comment. Seattle's defense played great. If you think a team in the NFL that gives up 13 points is the trouble, you are delusional. Sure, the recievers had 5 dropped passes, but the offense overall is marshawn lynch. He cannot single handedly carry the team. Wilson is not the man for the job. He is just way too inconsistent. He is not a strong presence in the pocket and completed 1 pass for negative yards in the second half. Every game this year he has made a big play at the end of the game to win it, in one case that was not a win but an interception. I am all for seeing Flynn play. He is taller, has a stronger arm, and a stronger presence in the pocket that could take a lot of pressure off marshawn lynch and the running game. I think Seattle has a great team this year, INCREDIBLE defense that played INCREDIBLE last night. You just can't play all game long and have the offense go 3 and out and expect for the defense to be able to hold and NFL team these days out of the endzone. It takes both sides of the ball to win games. If the hawk's offense was just a little better, I would say they have a strong chance to represent the NFC in the super bowl. The defense is the best I have seen in the NFL in a while and will only get better.

Welcome

You had me until you said Flynn had the stronger arm ?

Were giving up way to many easy thirds downs and it needs to be fixed, no one will argue that 13 points or not it could and should be better.

Wilson's threw the ball 23 times, if you drop five, throw 2 out of bounds have one batted down and one picked that leaves 14 passes and he completed 9 , ugly yes, was that game plan, yes.

Turbin should have scored Obo might have scored I mean its not all on Wilson.

As far as Wilson goes HE has the better arm is more accurate has more experience and can drop a ball in a bucket 50 yards down the field with a flick of his wrist. And as far as his height of his 23 passes last night only only one can be contributed to possibly being because of it, two if you want to count the leaping Willis tip. He's a rookie I don't know what people expect, it comes with building the future.

I personally am not for one quarterback or the other. i just want to win. but saying Wilson cant throw quick routes from the pocket is not entirely true. An example from thursday was the quick slant he hit to tate right over the middle. He threw it from the pocket it and hit him right in the hands. He couldnt have done much more than that and tate failed to hold onto the ball.

Anyone else see the stat about our conversion on 3rd and 10+? The last one I remember seeing was 1 for 19 or 20. That is God awful!

In large part because bevel runs draw or a all out hail Mary.
Plus, not many convert 3 and 10 , defenses tee off on qbs. I might add hawks d is one of worst at 3 and long!
Playcalling.

Quit blaming everything on Bevell. He had great offensive success in 2009. Why, cause he had a QB that execute the plays that were called. Not saying he's an offensive genius but this city has seen a lot worse!

You didn't say it, sprhawk did. And no, he is not immune to criticism. I'm just tired of him being the only one that gets criticism, which was my point with my original couple of replies in the thread. It was started to hang the entire game around Wilson's neck, which is bullshit. People, both in the pro-Wilson camp and anti-Wilson camp also conveniently seem to forget one glaring fact: he is a rookie. He is not supposed to be a Pro-Bowler.

That said, I agree with you about missing open receivers. But I see tall quarterbacks miss open receivers as well. Hasselbeck was worse than Wilson when he got here. Of course, we all wanted him ran out of town. In the end, I just think it has just as much to do with the fact that he is a rookie as I do his height. Again, how is a 6'2" QB supposed to see over a 6'6" line?
