If Paul Allen was willing to break the bank, and bring in the top available guys to make Seattle look as attractive as possible to possible free agent pick ups this off season, how about starting with the staff.

1. Mike Holmgren....GM, Head of Football Operations...
2. John Gruden.......Head Coach
3. Charlie Weis.......Offensive Coordinator
4. Monte Kiffen.......Defensive Coordinator

They are all available!!!!

With our facilities, Allens wallet, no salary cap and these coaches.........

WOW, could be the beginning of something really special!

Side Note:

Free Agents that should be available:

Donald Penn Tackle for Tampa Bay - played for Gruden
Jeremy Truebood Tackle for Tampa Bay - played for Gruden
Logan mankins Guard for the Pats - played for weis

Build an O-line thru Free Agency and draft Skill players.

Sorry, but I gotta disagree with you on this one. Having a guy who's had no proven success at GM, and an overrated, worthless piece of garbage as offensive coordinator doesn't exactly qualify as a dream team to me.

No proven success at GM......Lets see

Holmgrens pickups...

Hutch, Hass, Alexander, True....All staples in the 2005 season. The 2005 Team was a product of Holmgren as GM,

The team on the field now is Ruskells and look where we are!

As far as weis goes, Three super bowl rings as O-coordinator and the problems at Notre Dame were mostly on the Defensive side.

How many times has Freak posted something like this? Jesus. What is your mancrush with Holmgren anyways? Hiring him would be as big of a risk as hiring anyone. We should hire the best available person and that does not necessarily equal Holmgren.

Thank you, scott, for reposting that link. Sanity. It is something fans seem to lack...

Holmgren did not draft Matt.

Didn't Holmgren the GM trade for him :?:

I believe so... was he originally hired as the GM/Coach, right? - serious question.

If so, then yes he traded for Matt. 3 time pro bowl, Seahakws only superbowl apperance QB...

no big deal, i mean whatever.

GM's also bring in FA's
look at Holmgrens choice there too.

Dream team would be
Holmy at GM/President
Cowher at BIG $$$$ as Head Coach and let him draft the Def players

Holmgren's FA's were decent but nothing stellar. Either way, you build championship teams through the draft and supplement your core with free agents. So if you have a GM who can't draft, you're not going to find sustained success. Just ask the Redskins.
