I see where you're trying to go with that but it fails on a major point. That point is none of the Rams players are well known, nor are they in the national spotlight for two weeks preceding the super bowl. Sherman is in the spotlight. A negative spotlight. Unless he has an incredible game and saves a duffel bag of puppies and kittens from drowning ON FILM that interview will be a large part of his legacy in the minds of those people that witnessed his tirade.

Maybe for you, I will never forget the "seattle swat". And also... I don't think ppl will forget winning the superbowl, EVER!

Well the advertisers may not like it as they get skittish easily. The advertisers don't sell strictly to the Seattle or Denver fans or NFL fans only. They want to sell to everyone. Most NORMAL people witnessing that interview were turned off which is the last thing advertisers want. The advertisers really rule the NFL as long as that is where the most money is made.

The advertisers ran from Tiger and then they came back. And he was having Ambien sex with hookers while married.

After most people learned more about what has happened between Crab and Sherman they understand why Sherman was upset. It makes Crab look like an ass. Things like that just don't happen without a reason for it and Crab was the reason.

I don't think it was so much that as the slap might have brought the animosity Sherman had toward Crabtree going back to last offseason back to the surface.
What the heck was Crabtree's problem originally anyway? It's not like Crabtree's a decorated NFL superstar and Sherman's a nobody. It's actually just the opposite and all Sherman had on his mind in the postgame was to make sure Crabtree knew it.
I don't think Sherman's the sensitive type. The criticism won't shut him up because he just doesn't care all that much about it other than how it's affecting his team. Contrary to what the misinformed masses think, Sherman's a team player. He momentarily lost that and that's what the public is identifying him with.
As brash and annoying as he can be sometimes, I hope he never changes. It's what keeps his competitive fire going.

I have a lot in common with Sherman. I'm a superstar IT Analyst loud mouth. But this is also the reason I turn down management positions all the time. I'll play the corporate game, but I won't get totally castrated in the process. It's bad enough that I have a job; why would I want to become a suit?

I tell my kids to find something you love to do and get someone to pay you to do it...then you'll never work. Hard to do, but I try and tell them that "the ride" is more important, because the destination is the same for everyone.
