It's not official yet. Not sure when the press conference is, but it's only 1:25pm PT so there's plenty of time left for one.

Well Schneider is doing an on-line interview with Seattle Times at 2PM Western time. That's still on (as of now). So it's possible tomorrow. I am trying to find out more through Liz Mathews.

According to GM John Schneider the Seahawks will be sending out a press release announcing his retirement, but he didn't tell me when they would send it out.

It's true... all good things must come to an end :( We'll miss ya Big Guy! Thanks for the memories and most importantly for keeping our left side free of intruders! More on the blog later after I make my rounds at the Casino tonight.

Seattle attempted more than 5,500 passes with Jones on the field, and according to the records of Seahawks' coaches, Jones gave up 23 sacks. In 180 career starts, he was penalized for holding nine times.

Unbelievable.

I really wish they could break that down into downs played...

According to Seahawks.com, he dropped into protection for 5,703 pass plays over his career. If you assume that the Seahawks passed 55% of the time and ran 45% of the time, you could assume he played (5,703/0.55) 4,666 running plays for a total of about 10,369 plays. Assuming that we ran more would only increase that number.
