Seattle (1-0, 1-0 NFC West Tied-1st Place) at San Francisco (1-0, 1-0 NFC West Tied-1st Place)
4:05 ET, 1:05 PT
Staduim: Candlestick Park
Announcers: Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick (Fox)
Seattle Radio- Steve Raible, Warren Moon and Jen Mueller
San Francisco- Dennis O'Donnell (Play-by-Play) and Eric Davis (Color Commentator)
Television Station: Fox in Seattle KCPQ/13
Head-to-Head record:
Last Meeting: Seahawks 34-13 Lead by Seneca Wallace the Seahawks walked out of San Francisco with the win after Leonard Weaver had a breakout game. Also famous for the post-game mooning by 49ers Head Coach Mike Singletary.

Analysis: The Seahawks shut out the Rams at home in the season opener winning 28-0, but their first couple of offensive series weren't anything to be proud of. Hasselbeck turned it over twice- once in the end zone, but after that they got it together offensively. Defensively they were on key at all times with blitzes, but the key play of the game was a blocked field goal by the Rams that after officials review revealed the Rams lined up with 12 players on the field. That gave the Seahawks a first down with under 2:00 left in the first-half and allowed them to score and take the momentum away from the Rams.
In order for Seattle to be successful today their line must protect Hasselbeck and keep an eye on Patrick Willis. If Julius Jones can run as well as he did in week one it should also open the door on the passing game. Nate Burleson was a go-to-guy to set-up the big plays in which John Carlson caught two of Hasselbeck's touchdown passes along with one of his own. Deion Branch hasn't practiced all week, but will be a game-time decision. Whether he plays or not expect the receptions to be spread out between TJ Houshmandzadeh, Deon Butler, Carlson, Burleson and Branch.
Defensively with Shaun Hill at quarterback the Seahawks need to put pressure on him and make him throw. They don't have a true reciever and Ken Lucas and the backs shouldn't have to worry about a key guy like they would if they were playing the Cardinals. Seattle got to Bulger three times in week one, while allowing zero sacks despite not having Walter Jones who might make his season debut today. The Seahawks need to also force turnovers and try to keep the defense off of the field as much as possible. Leroy Hill will be out, but they feel content with the depth of Will Herring, Lance Laury and the addition of DD Lewis. Aaron Curry has shown the Seahawks he can create pressure and get the quarterback so don't be surprised to see that this week either.

Predicition: The Seahawks could use a key head-to-head win over the 49ers and if all goes well should get it 24-21. Putting them in sole possession of first place in the West.

Connections:

Seahawk News of the Week:
-Leroy Hill will miss at least six-weeks with an injury so the Seahawks signed former LB and Special Team contributor DD Lewis and placed Derek Walker on the Practice Squad.
-Jamar Adams also was deleted off of the Practice Squad along with Blake Schlueter. To replace Adams the Seahawks added Brian De La Puente a guard from the Chiefs.
-Aaron Curry was fined $5,000 for his actions during the Rams game with Steven Jackson.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD: WEEK 2 @ SF

Ok just got word of this:
Brandon Mebane will NOT play. He is one of the inactives for the Seahawks. Along with Mebane is Walter Jones, Leroy Hill, Chris Spencer, Travis Fisher, Michael Bennett and no surprise Deion Branch.

San Fran's inactives: Marcus Hudson, Cody Wallace, Brandon Jones, Ricky Jean Francois, Jason Hill, Ahmad Brooks and Curtis Taylor.

what if you had a gameday thread and no one showed up?
What if a bunch of 12 year old Whiners fans came to a Seahawks forum to show their immaturity by rubbing in a loss? Oh wait...

I guess you guys don't get to do it much, so enjoy it while you can.

13-6 hags? how'd that work out for you? hope you didn't risk the trailer payment. LOL.

yeah, we have a tough time sleeping with all our SB trophies, compared to your, uh, oh yeah, none. I mean, at least the Rams won it all, which puts them miles above your sorry "franchise".

Funny faggots...You talk shit BEFORE the game if you have so much "faith" in your team...

I'd rather live in a trailer than a bathhouse faggot like yourself....SF fans did a lot of drinking after the game to celebrate...Northern California's spermbanks are almost out of product!

We lost...Congrats...I'd rather lose than win and take it in the ass like yourself and so many of your local populace... You won but in life you lose don't worry....The Hollyweird actors will all wear their pretty red ribbons to honor you after that mean case of AIDS get's ya!
