Check this shit out. Wikipedia allready has him as our coach...

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Carroll"]Pete Carroll - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:peteCarroll.JPG" class="image"><img alt="PeteCarroll.JPG" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/fc/PeteCarroll.JPG/200px-PeteCarroll.JPG"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/f/fc/PeteCarroll.JPG/200px-PeteCarroll.JPG[/ame]

BTW, after reading about him he seems like a great guy who related to younger players. He pulls pranks and jokes and stuff like that. I do not see that going well with the NFL especially when our team is going through so much. These are not kids out here they are grown men, and a jokester as our HC is not what we need.

Give me Leslie Frazier!

I dont know, those guys are like big kids but I think one of JM down falls, but hopefully not PC's, was that he was always too close to the players. Smackin asses, jibber jabbin on the sideline, head butt, fist pumpin ect. You know as a head coach thats not your job, HC should be feared and respected like Holgrem was. I remember one time after a particualarly bad play (by hasselbeck) Holmy was on one side of the sidleline and the nearest coach and player was 30 feet away. Thats respect!

That reminds me of an interview a while back where Matt talked about a day at practice Holmgren caught him wearing a glove. Apparently he raised hell and Matt made sure not to make that mistake again.

I agree that a HC should be feared and respected. There are many types of coaching styles but what I do know is Holmgrens style worked. It is the style I related too probably due to my military family upbringing, but I believe it is right.

Leslie Frazier!

So I saw that Frazier's interview lasted more than 5 hours. If the P.C. thing is pretty much a done deal, why such a long interview?

Any Chance he becomes out D.Coordinator next year?

The Head Coach typically picks the coordinators around him, or at least has a say in it. Everything seems to be coming together and Carroll should be announced as the next Seahawks H.C. in a few days. He wants to bring his OC with him who runs the West Coast Offense. Hopefully he has a good guy in mind for the defense.

Favre will be done after this season so the Vikings won't be in the playoffs any time soon. Same situation goes for the Cardinals. Without Warner they are nothing.

true dat,

but even without favre, the vikes are a much more complete team we than we are.

doesn't matter if you have a pro bowl caliber QB, if there is no line to protect him and no difference makers around him... its .... 4-12, 5-11,????????

SI.com's Jim Trotter reports that Seahawks owner Paul Allen is unwilling to offer head coaching candidate Pete Carroll total control over football matters.

And we have a potential hitch. "Allen has been through that once with Mike Holmgren and is not going to go through that again," said Fritz Pollard Alliance chairman John Wooten, who has knowledge of the situation. It's long been believed that if Carroll was to return to the NFL, he'd want GM duties in addition to the head coaching job. A deal no longer appears to be imminent.
