Are hawks interested in supplemental draft?

UPDATE: It has been confirmed by the NFL, clubs were informed today that Supplemental Draft will be held on Thursday, July 12. Several players have already thrown their names into the draft-eligible hat, including Josh Gordan and Ed Wesley. For reference, the Supplemental Draft gives players that didn't declare for the previous draft, but whose status has changed since then, a chance to land with an NFL team without losing a year. It's auction style, with teams placing a draft-round value on any player they want, with the highest bid the winner. The team that makes the selection loses the corresponding round selection in next year's draft.
Former Baylor WR Josh Gordon is the most intriguing possible Supplemental Draft prospect for the Seahawks at 6'4, 220 and alleged 4.3, 4.4 speed. In the 2010 season at Baylor, Gordon caught 42 passes for 714 yards (17.0 average) and 7 touchdowns, can return kicks, and is also listed as a possible H-Back type on his NFLDraftScout.com profile. He was dismissed from the Baylor football program for violation of team rules after marijuana was found in a car he was in. He then transferred to Utah, and per NCAA rules, sat out in 2011. He was being touted as a potential early-round prospect for this year's draft going into 2011, prior to his suspension and dismissal, so there is bound to be some interest from teams. Adam Caplan noted that Gordon "is known in scouting circles for his prototype size and athletic ability."
It will be very interesting to see if the Seahawks make a move here -- many lamented the fact that the Seahawks didn't select a wide receiver in the draft and there are some that question the depth at that position, and Gordon certainly fits the prototype as a big, fast deep threat.
