I think Michael is a stud. I think his injury riddled college career and spat with new coaching staff really dropped his stock. I think if he had been healthy for most of his college career and came out in say 2007, he would've been top 10 pick IMO. Backs just don't carry that kind of value...
Sure. But he's on PUP now and has been for most of training camp. If starts the year on PUP, he won't be on the 53 man roster week 1.
Also, Thurmond was a first round talent that dropped because of his injury issues. Rightfully so.
Simon has hardly been on the field. Dude has been injured most of training camp and preseason.
Lane and Maxwell are not only studs on ST. They have shown that they are more than capable of being starting corners in this league. Lane and Maxwell rotated at starting corner opposite Sherman...
They seem to have handled it much better last year. This exact group. It seemed out of character that Wilson just stood there and held onto the ball instead of moving around and avoiding the pressure.
He is playing similar to how he played at the start of last season. Doesn't seem so sure of things. Perhaps he's just shaking off the rust before the season starts. I'm not going to worry too much. This is the guy that single handedly brought us back from 20-0 in the playoffs.
Defense...
Red is top heavy as well. That really isn't a concern of mine because the guy produced in one of the best defenses in a college football. I think his biggest knock has and always will be health.
Who would you replace on the DL (see attached roster)?
Williams has been injured, and from what I am hearing, he's been unimpressive when he is on the field.
I know Hill is out, but an oft-injured and ineffective Williams makes no sense. It will be interesting to see how McDaniel does tonight...
It was between him or Lotulelei. It was close, i just think Lotulelei has a slight edge. Just my opinion. I don't think much is known of Bradford outside of Seattle. I can see him landing on the practice squad.
What do you think of the rest of the roster?
