Well, we did clear a spot on the roster with the Moffit trade. I'm going to try and put together a 53 man roster sometime today and see what I come up with. I just can't see them not keeping Kearse, Harper or Williams.
Not trying to nit pick but they actually traded for White. A 4th or 5th round pick during Pete's first draft in Seattle. So that actually adds more validity to your point.
Yup. And don't forget Tony McDaniel. He's been injured but I think he may surprise when he returns. He's a big big man and he may be a force in the run defense.
Sanford is a 6'2" 280lb DE who was signed as an undrafted FA in 2010. He hasn't done much. Fits the mold physically of a Red Bryant or maybe Bennett as an interior pass rusher in nickle situations.
Manning moved the ball, but we also started Moyowa and Schofield at DE. Neither could generate pressure vs the Broncos starting oline.
Denver was also running a lot of bunch formations and scheming to counter the press defense. I think with game planning, and some slight tweaks, this team...
Dude looks legit. Only question is, can he stay healthy?
This WR position has quickly become one of the deepest groups on the team.
Rice
Tate
Baldwin
Kearse
Williams
Harper
This is how I see the final group rounding out with Harvin on PUP. Pretty unlikely that all above 6 stay healthy for...
As much as I hate to admit it, but dude looks like he's going to be a solid WR/KR. Reminds me a bit of Nate Burleson. Never going to be a true #1 WR, but a solid #2.
I think Sweezy did well enough considering he was a rookie transitioning from a defensive position. Dude is nasty and extremely athletic for an offensive lineman. I predict in 2-3 years, dude will be playing at a Pro-Bowl level.
On a lighter note, apparently the dude is like a real life...
