Cunningham threw but he leads ALL QBs in rushing yards, how can you not consider him a running QB? Vick is still unproven but should be fine and continue to post nice numbers.
Amukamara would be nice, they say it's really close as to who is better between him or Peterson. I think it depends on what you want in a CB. Peterson seems to be the bigger more physical CB who can also be developed into a blitzer where as Amukamara is more a tight coverage, go up for the jump...
In my opinion, our needs, in order of need, are G, CB, DT, QB, SS, DE, C, WR.
G - No explanation needed honestly.
CB - Kelly Jennings is terrible, Trufant is old. Coverage is to soft, we need a tight coverage man.
DT - In the event Mebane leaves this will be a bigger need but Cole is...
I firmly believe we should sign Johnathan Joseph or Brent Grimes at CB in the offseason. HUGE upgrade and would save our 1st round pick for more important needs like OL (Guard?) and if we have the spare change, maybe a nice SS like Quintin Mikell from the Eagles or Dawan Landry from the Ravens :D
Of all of them, who do you think are the most important? I mean we have Matt Hasselbeck, Leon Washington, Raheem Brock, etc. who is the biggest asset? As of right now I think it's crucial to keep Leon Washington and Brock the most but I want to see your guys' opinion.
This about to sounds stupid but I just thought that now that we have Cable, we have an "in" on free agents from their last teams (Sidney Rice, Kamerion Wimbley, Michael Huff, Nmandi Asomugha, etc.) is there a chance we take any?
Whitehurst should start for 3 legitimate reasons:
1: He's most likely the future of our team and if we're expecting to lose to NOLA anyway, why not start early?
2: He's has been playing much more consistent than Matt and is much healthier than him. He has better pocket prescence and knows...
This is going to be one interesting game that's for damn sure. Before it starts, you guys should check out my posts in the lamb lookalikes thread haha.
Ok so you guys are too stuck on stats. And yes, stats show how good he could be but put himon a team like Florida, Alabama, or Oregon, he'd be nasty. Wait until he hits the NFL to learn from the vets and have a better team to work with. Notice how Kearse and Aguilar couldn't catch shit that were...
That's true about Branyan but in the event Smoak needs a break or day off, Branyan could step in. Ackley will start, period. I think there is absolutely no way they leave on the bench as hot as he has been.
Lineup should look like:
C - Olivo/ Moore
1st - Smoak/ Branyan: Platoon
2nd - Ackley
3rd - Figgy
SS - ??? (Jack Skeleton I guess...)
RF - Ichiro
CF - Guti
LF - Bradley/ Saunders: Platoon
DH - Jack Cust
Not bad I guess. We should resign Beltre though and move Figgy to SS. That would make us a...
OMG yes we should. IF we do, imagine an offense with Moss, Williams, Butler (3rd downs?), Stokley, Lynch, Okung (if healthy), and if we start Whitehurst, it would help warm up to the starting role in the NFL. I say GO FOR IT
